Each student at the Matagalpa Language School experiences a curriculum that accelerates learning. In our exclusively Spanish-speaking atmosphere, you’ll receive real one-on-on instruction, with no class larger than one or two students. You can even choose to travel across beautiful and scenic Nicaragua at both our school’s locations, Matagalpa and Managua – and for the same price we will include a weekend excursion in Granada, the colonial city of Nicaragua.

A brief program description 
The process of this instruction is conducted as an on - going dialog between student and teacher, and also this is a challenging one for our student – our all Spanish speaking program is a part of the immersion process. We also make sure the quality of the instruction by placing limits on the class size. We make sure that, there should be no more than two students in the same level, or more than three students in group setting. The Viva Spanish School program in Matagalpa – Managua neither a university nor a school in the strictest sense of the term, as if follows mostly the combination of language instruction and cultural immersion activities. In Matagalpa, the school offers a casual environment where students feel comfortable to be themselves, which helps the learning process. Another week of this Spanish program is spent In Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, where you will get the feeling like you are studying with us as a family. Spanish classes take place every morning. These will consist of grammar and conversation. The classes are taught by native Spanish speaker tutors that are dedicated to their work.

How does the cultural immersion program work in Nicaragua? 
As part of this program, you will stay with a Nicaraguan family that has been carefully screened by the school. There you will be offered three meals a day, displaying typical Nicaraguan dishes, and spend quality time with your homestay family. Our program houses students with the same families repeatedly so that you can be assured of a safe and fun homestay! Your homestay benefits you and benefits your host family as well. It is a great experience for both parties.  This is just one of the many community partnerships in which we have been involved.

Cultural Immersion programs are where a student visits Nicaragua where the native language is Spanish. Under the cultural immersion program the student enrolls himself/herself in one of our schools. Later, they perform hours of community tasks. By undertaking such community tasks the person interacts with local people speaking Spanish on a one to one level thereby increasing the language competency and confidence. Moreover, such cultural immersion programs also provide an access into a foreign culture and help to gain insight into a new culture.
